Welcome to Jannell, Will, Bobby, and Marion's table one Wiki. Here we will post our classwork and our wiki's on the sidebar. So Far we have been doing different experiments that have helped us with Graphing, writing conclusions, recording data, writing a good hypothesis, making a well designed experiment, and following directions properly. This year we will learn how to Plan and conduct a scientific experiment and perform investigations, Find the accuracy of the data, and construct graphs from data. The below are the eighth grade standards covered in this unit.

Scientific progress is made by asking meaningful questions and conducting careful investigations. As a basis for understanding this concept and addressing the content in the other three strands, students should develop their own questions and perform investigations. Students will:

  1. Plan and conduct a scientific investigation to test a hypothesis.
  2. Evaluate the accuracy and reproducibility of data.
  3. Distinguish between variable and controlled parameters in a test.
  4. Construct appropriate graphs from data and develop quantitative statements about the relationships between variables.
